Overview Cisco UCS C245 M8 Rack Server
The Cisco UCS C245 M8 Rack Server, a 2RU form factor, supports up to two 4th Gen AMD EPYC™ CPUs, providing significant performance and efficiency for storage and I/O-intensive applications like big data analytics, databases, AI/ML, and high-performance computing. It features 100% more cores per socket due to AMD’s chiplet architecture, enhancing performance and cost efficiency.
This server can be deployed within Cisco’s Unified Computing System™ managed by Cisco Intersight® or Cisco UCS Manager for reduced Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and increased agility or used standalone. Key innovations include PCIe Gen 5.0 slots, a DDR5 memory bus, and expanded storage capabilities.

- Memory speeds up to 4800 MT/s DDR5.
- 8 x PCIe Gen 4.0 or 4 x PCIe Gen 5.0 slots, plus modular LAN on motherboard (mLOM) / OCP 3.0 slot.
- Up to 28 hot-swappable SFF SAS/SATA or NVMe drives, with a tri-mode RAID controller.
- M.2 boot options with hardware RAID support.
- Supports up to eight GPUs.
- Dedicated PCIe Gen4x16 slot for mLOM or OCP 3.0 card, enabling additional connectivity without consuming a PCIe slot.
- mLOM slot for Cisco UCS VIC, supporting high-speed network connectivity.
- OCP 3.0 slot with full out-of-band management for select adapters.
